The Bangsamoro Information and Communications Technology Office (BICTO) successfully conducted a two-day Digital Literacy Training (DLT) for the 5th Batch of ISAL Teachers, focusing on Canva, Basic Photoshop, and video editing. The training was held on August 13โ14, 2025, at the BICTO ICT & E-Governance Center, 8Z, Cotabato City. This initiative aims to empower ISAL teachers by enhancing their teaching capabilities and enabling them to effectively integrate digital tools and technology into their classrooms.

The program commenced with an opening message from Chief of the Planning and Capacity Building Division Mr. Norodin T. Intia, LPT, MPA, MSIT, who underscored the importance of embracing digital innovations in education. He highlighted that digital proficiency is now an essential skill for educators to remain effective and relevant in todayโs technology-driven learning environment. On the first day, Ms. Bai Sheikah Marie Cueto facilitated sessions on Canva and Basic Photoshop. Participants were guided through the process of creating visually engaging presentations, social media posters, and layout designs for tarpaulins, ensuring that these materials could be effectively utilized in both school and madrasa teaching contexts.

The second day focused on video editing, with Ms. Korina Kabagani leading the training. In the afternoon, participants applied their learning by creating their own videos, which they then presented to the group. They were also tasked with editing their outputs, allowing them to experience the full process of producing educational video content from concept to final cut. Participants expressed their gratitude to BICTO for equipping them with essential digital competencies that will help enhance their teaching delivery. The training reinforced BICTOโs commitment to supporting innovative teaching methods, fostering digital empowerment among educators, and advancing the regionโs overall digital literacy efforts in line with the Bangsamoro Governmentโs educational objectives.
