
On August 11โ13, 2025, the Bangsamoro Information and Communications Technology Office (BICTO), led by Noraymen D. Dimasangcay, Head of Planning and Monitoring Section and Normina Adza, Head of Capacity Building Section, together with BICTO key personnel Merham Diamal, Guiamel Usman, Anisa Abdulgani, Anwar Angin, and Ameroden Lao, attended the Coordination Meeting with the Institute for Policy Innovation and Leadership (IPIL) at the Mindanao State University โ Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT).

The meeting focused on collaborative ICT policy formulation for the Bangsamoro region, emphasizing the Digital Society, Digital Economy, and Digital Governance. Discussions covered policy alignment with BARMMโs development agenda, capacity building, and advisory roles of ICT consultants. IPIL Director Adrian commended BICTOโs Digital Literacy Training Program, recognizing it as a vital initiative in strengthening digital advancement in BARMM. The team also paid a courtesy visit to MSU-IIT Chancellor Atty. Alizedney Ditucalan, LLM, who expressed his strong support for this collaborative effort.

In addition, BICTO toured MSUIIT Center for E-Learning (MICeL), Fabrication Laboratory Mindanao (MSUIIT FabLab), and MSUIIT iDEYA: Center of Innovation and Technopreneurship, gaining valuable insights into programs and services that can complement BARMMโs ICT initiatives. BICTO also had a brief discussion with Marawi City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto regarding the potential conduct of a Digital Literacy Training for Marawi City ISALs. In addition, BICTO engaged with key personnel from ITSMarawi to explore a Software Development initiative and partnership. These meetings mark a renewed commitment to pursue joint efforts in ICT policy-making, capacity building, and digital innovation, ensuring that BARMM continues to move forward in the digital era.
