“Creating the future through Cybersecured Digitization and Digitalization” is the theme of the BARMM Consultation on Cybersecured Islamic Digital Transformation of Fintech Governance spearheaded by Bangsamoro Information and Communications Technology Office in partnership with Department of Information and Communications Technology, Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, Philippines held on February 17 – 18, 2023 at F1 Hotel, 32nd St. cor Lane A, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, Al-Hadj stressed on his welcome message that this consultancy activity is an affirmation of our commitment to create an inclusive and innovative system as we approach complete digital transactions in our operation in government. Convincing that through the digitalization of our services, we can benefit from better operation, avoiding occurrence of fraud and mitigate potential risks in financial transactions.
“We acknowledge that the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region has a lot of work to do on streamlining the delivery of our projects, programs and services,” he added.
Also, Senator Robinhood “Robin” C. Padilla is present and he redeem during his speech the significance of the Bangsamoro government, its people and community. Looking back the past, Bangsamoro people are already ruling the nation before the occupation of many foreign invaders. With this consultation, it will be a big stepping stone of acknowledging the Bangsamoro government and its program towards digitization and digitalization and hoping that the other regions of the country will follow.
During the two-day activity presented the Digitized Official Receipt System –its dashboard, ordering, payment transactions and email transactions, account management, activity logs and national verification system by the Department of Information and Communications Technology to the Bangsamoro Government and the soon-to-be pioneering region to implement a digitized official receipt that will be enjoy by the Bangsamoro people and its constituents.
The consultation was attended by the Directors, Chief, and Head of admin, budget, and finance of all ministries. Also in attendance are DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, DICT Secretary Atty. Ivan E. Uy, CICC Undersecretary Alexander K. Ramos, Asec Mary Rose E. Magsaysay, COA Chairperson Gamaliel A. Cordoba, Senior Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua, Atty. Ubaida C. Pacasem, Minister (Ministry of Finance, and Budget and Management), Abu Amri A. Taddik, Minister (Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism), and representative coming from Landbank of the Philippines, National Office.
Ending the consultation, Jonathan M. Mantikayan, PhD.IT, BICTO Executive Director II, said “Acknowledging that there is more work to do in simplifying the delivery of our projects, programs, and services in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. By harmonizing technology into our mission in serving our constituents –the Bangsamoro People, we can achieve the full potential for progress and development,”
